Welcome to a new term at Mitchell Walk Playgroup. We hope you all had a great Easter holiday. We have a few new children starting this term and we hope they soon settle in.
Playgroup Staffing
Last term we had to say goodbye to Faith Ward . Faith has been with us for some time and will be sadly missed, we all wish her well in her future and hope she keeps in touch and visits when she has some free time.
Mitchell Walk Playgroup Contact Information
Please feel free to speak to us any time if you have any concerns about your child s progress at the playgroup. If you would rather discuss something in private please contact Karen on 07920512180 and a time can be arranged .Please do not let any worries build up . We are always here not only for your children but the parents and carers alike. We like to think we work better as a team with the teaching staff working closely with the parents. This makes the parents and children more comfortable when being left or leaving your child in our care. We understand this is a hard time and would like to make it as easy as we can for all concerned. Do not sit at home and worry about your child, if their is a problem and your child is upset when you leave them this is normal and the staff will contact you if they do not settle down, we will not let them be upset for a prolonged period of time. We want all the children to be happy and settle in easily.
Fund-raising
we have some fund-raising events coming up in the near future. Mitchell Walk Playgroup has booked a stall at this years Chalfont Village day. We are looking for donations of small toys and sweets for the stalls, I would like to remind you all that we are not a government funded playgroup. We all have to work together to try different fund-raising ideas. We now have a sub committee that is trying out some new fund-raising ideas. However we can not do this without the support of all you parents. Please donate any items you can and if you are unsure of what items then please feel free to e-mail Sara Harding on sassy.sara@ntlworld.com or Michelle Hatchett on djh2005@talktalk.net Please help us help our children to the best start in life which we all believe is Mitchell Walk Playgroup.
Tesco and Sainsburys Vouchers
We are still collecting the Tesco`s school and Clubs vouchers and the Sainsbury`s Active kids. We are holding a competition. The child that brings in the most vouchers will win a mystery prize so please keep them coming in the more we can collect the more our children will benefit. If you have not already asked your friends and families to collect them for you, now is the time, with less than two months to go we need all we can get. To those of you who have brought them in thank you and please keep them coming. The competition is very close at the moment with no clear leader so keep collecting.
Mitchell Walk Playgroup T-shirts
Here at Mitchell Walk we have for sale T-shirts for your little ones with our logo on, The Children love them and it does save the mess on their everyday clothes as we all love doing messy activities. If you are interested in purchasing one please ask a member of staff or alternatively e-mail Michelle on djh2005@talktalk.net
Updating Mitchell Walk Playgroup web site and leaflets.
We are looking at updating our Mitchell Walk Leaflets and web site and would really like to include some testimonials from some of our current parents as to your thoughts on us here and why you chose Mitchell Walk. You all know how hard it is to leave your children with people you do not know very well. We think it would benefit the prospective parents to have the views of the parents with children already in the setting. It does not have to be a large amount of writing just a line or two would be great.
Thank-you
The staff would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for your continued support. Also thank you to Carricks daddy Richard for your kind donation of items for our fund-raising which all help to maintain the Playgroup.
Thank you to all the committee members and everyone else involved in the running of our setting.
If anyone is interested in becoming a member of the committee that would be great as we always need help and new people to bring new ideas. Also if you feel their is anything we can do to make things better or improve in anyway please say as we are always looking for ways to improve things for all concerned.
