Mitchell Walk Playgroup

November 2009 - Newsletter

Dear Parents/Carers

Welcome back to Mitchell Walk Playgroup, We hope you all had a good half term holiday. At the beginning of this term we saw a lot of new faces with new children joining us at the Playgroup. We are pleased to inform you all the children seem to be settling in well and enjoying the time they spend in the setting.

Playgroup Staff Changes

We are pleased to announce that we have a new member of staff to cover the days Mrs Cato is unable to be in setting. Karen and Michelle interviewed several candidates and the decision was made to offer the job to Annie. Annie started with us on 28th September and has settled into the setting extremely well, Annie has formed a great relationship with the children and other staff members. It is clear she has a great passion and love of children and we all look forward to getting to know her more.

Fund-raising

As you will know by now we are a charity run Playgroup. We have recently formed a fund-raising sub committee to help out with the fund-raising. If you would like to take part and help with the fund-raising, have any ideas or questions please contact Claire on clairelittlunwood@yahoo.co.uk

Can we just take this opportunity to say thank you to all of you who have offered your support and for those who have joined the fund-raising committee. We will keep you all informed as to the events that are coming up. The first will be two stalls at the Henry Allen Christmas fair on the 28th of November 2009. The committee will be asking for donations of items for a sweet tombola and a lucky dip stall soon, Plus We will need helpers to run the stalls on the day. Information will go up on the notice board in the near future.

End of Year Party.

We have booked an entertainer for a end of term party. This is to take place on Friday the 18th December 2009 at 11.30 am. We hope all of you will be able to attend the children had a fantastic time at the end of term party in July. We will be selling tickets the first week of December. The party is going to take place in the morning in the setting and in the Sensory room. We have an entertainer Wayne Wonder coming in to entertain the children first.
